McDonald Fourth of July

 Friday, July 3rd

Balloon Festival
I say it every year, but this is one of my favorite traditions!
This year was PACKED full of people, but we just attributed it to the news coverage they had the day before when the Bank of American Fork Pig Balloon crashed.
(Free advertising is what it was)
Everyone came the next day, I think hoping something like that would happen again!
Still fun even with all the people!

Gail Halverson "The Candy Bomber"
We all went to the park to see the Candy Bomber do his final drop.
If you're not sure who this guy is, you should look him up, because he has a great story!
The park was beyond packed full of people, and I don't think we've ever been so hot.
We knew going to the park that there would be no way for us to get one of the 1,000 candy bars he drops since there was probably 30,000 people there,
but we all just wanted to be there to see it all happen!
My mom had made our own candy bombs to drop from the balcony for the kids.
He did 3 fly overs, and dropped candy the last two fly overs.

Playing in the water at Grandma & Grandpa's.
To cool down after the Candy Bomber, the kids played in the water.
There are a bunch of pictures of Paige cause she was being so funny and cute! (and she lets me still)

vv Sequence of her dunking her head in the water! vv

Firework Show at Mike & Alisha's
At 8:30 we headed down the Mike's house in Spanish Fork to hang out while the cousins, Andy and Mike shot off some fireworks. It's always fun heading down there to spend time with the McDonald's for a little bit!

Freedom Festival 5K
My Father-in-law, ran his very first 5K and did very well!
I'm very impressed with him and all the hard work he put into accomplishing this goal he set for himself!

The Grand Parade
We rode our bikes to the 5K finish line, then rode our bikes to my great aunts house to meet my family for the parade.
I didn't take any pictures except this one at the parade, but this year was probably the best parade we've watched in a while from Provo.

Stadium of Fire
After the parade, we went home to my parents to help get things all ready for dinner at my Grandparents house.
It ended up only being Andy, me, my parents, grandparents, Phill, Reese and Casey up at their house to watch Stadium of Fire.
We ate way too much yummy food, and even more yummy homemade ice cream!
It was tough for me to sit through the fireworks because I felt so uncomfortable
(may have been having a couple braxton hicks),
but it was still so fun and enjoyable to be out on the deck watching the fireworks from Payson to Lehi!
I cannot adequately describe how amazing it is up at my Grandparents house watching fireworks.
I love it so much!
I only got a few pictures of the fly overs, then Andy took a couple long exposure pictures of the fireworks before my camera died..

We had a wonderful Fourth of July weekend.
It's probably been our best one yet since being married!
Can't believe that next year we'll have a 10 month old baby!
