GIANT Honeymoon Post

When I say that it's giant...I'm not kidding! Bear with me..

Our honeymoon started on May 6th.
We boarded our plane in SLC airport at 11:58pm on the 6th.
We flew with US Airways..which we weren't too big of fans of!
I didn't get any pictures of us flying..
mostly because it was a night flight and a flashing camera is annoying.
We arrived in the Orlando FL airport on the 7th around 12:00pm.
We signed up for the shuttle to take us from the airport to the cruise ship, then we got to sit and relax until the shuttle came.

Us hanging out at the Orlando FL airport waiting for the shuttle.

When we finally got to the cruise ship, we were tired and hungry.
We got all our stuff put away in our TINY little room, then we headed down to dinner.

First Dinner on the cruise.

My young women leaders gave us this bubble blower for the wedding roadtrip down to STG
but it never got used so we took it on the honeymoon. It was pretty funny!

Royal Carribean's private island "Coco Cay".
Our first stop!

The front of our ship.

This picture doesn't even do the water justice...it was gorgeous and SOO blue!

We went snorkeling on the beach of Coco Cay.
Lots of fun, but very tiring.

I thought it was funny that the water cups say Corona Extra haha.

A couple of people sitting by us were laughing and saying "that chick has no idea that those coconuts are gonna fall on her if this wind keeps blowing". So we moved! Rude people couldn't just tell me, they had to laugh instead.

Every lunch meal was buffet, and so yummy!

Our cruise ship.

When we bought our room for the cruise, all the prices were variant because of the window in the room.
We finally settled on the "obstructed view".
When we got there, we were super lucky to be in the one room that was in between the life boats,
so our view wasn't too bad!

This was the formal night, if there is one thing we regret on this trip was that we didn't take a picture of all the other people dressed up. It was like prom all over again..gag!

The food was always so yummy!

Nassau, Bahamas.

The hotel we visited while we were at Nassau.
This is where the Atlantis resort is!

EXPENSIVE crystal!

Behind the hotel there was Ruins, an Aquarium, and the water park.
We got to go to all of those things with the pass we had bought.

The water park is sitting right on the beach, so if you get bored of the water slides,
you can head over to the ocean and play in there!

This is the water slide that they had on Amazing Race one year.
It's call the Leap of Faith.
You hike up a billion stairs (okay not that many), then you slide down the slide and into a pool filled with sharks..okay okay, so you slide through a tube that is in the pool filled with sharks.
Still nerve racking!
Especially since I'm terrified of heights.
It's a lot like the slide at Seven Peaks, "Free Fall".
But much cooler!
Oh, and I did it!!

If you look closely at these pictures you can see the slide that is next to the "Leap of Faith" running through the sharks. This slide you take a tube on and you come out into this tube that is in the shark tank, and you watch all the sharks swimming around you. So cool!!!

The had these pools you can get into to get from place to place
if you didn't want to walk on the hot ground.

Two of the slides on one side.

This is like the lazy river at Seven Peaks.
But this one isn't fully lazy. It has rapids throughout the river that make you get splashed, sometimes fall off your tube, and go faster.
This river also connects you to all the tube slides. So essentially you don't ever have to get off your tube if you don't want to. It takes you up and brings you back down.

All the lines to the slides look so beautiful like this!

These are on top of the tube slide tower.
It is a great view of the whole park, beach and hotel.

If you can see how the people are sitting on their tubes, that is the conveyer belt that pulls you up from the river and down the slide. It was awesome!

We were so dehydrated at one point, so we went into a little shop and they had this giant water bottle.
Most expensive water ever, but SO worth it!

At the hotel, there were lots of cool things to take pictures of.
We don't know what any of them were but they still looked cool!

These next pictures are of the under ground aquarium.
You walk through all the halls and see all the fish above and around you.
It was super cold down there which felt like heaven!

These eels were so creepy, but way cool.
They all just sat there in their own pots and did nothing but be creepy.

We got to touch the star fish!

This fish was HUGE, seriously like 5 feet long!

You can see this sting ray in most of our pictures, he kept circling the aquarium.
And every time we took a picture, he'd be in the backround!

These craps/lobster things haha, were climbing in the tank above us and on both sides of us.

I never understood why people swam in swimming pools right on the beach.
Now I understand..the salt from the ocean hurt my eyes pretty bad, so I couldn't be in the water very long.
So getting into a pool was a very nice thing!

The birds kept fighting over a piece of food and I snapped a picture of it.

This fish was in the aquarium, but I took a picture of it because it was the only cool fish
we got to see on Coco Cay when we went snorkeling.

Nassau, Bahamas 2012

The hotel again from our ship, but at night.

On one of the days, we decided to wake up really early and watch the sunrise.
It was really pretty, but I was too tired and grumpy to enjoy it haha!

On the last day of the cruise, our room service guy, made the towel animals for us!

After the cruise, it was cheaper to stay in Orlando one more night and fly out the next evening than it was to just leave from the cruise.
So we went to the airport, and took a taxi to the hotel.
After being on the cruise ship, in a tiny tiny bedroom,
this hotel seemed like the best place in the world!

This is the room when you first walk in, it had a huge TV, and a hide-a-bed.

Then you walk through a hall way that was part of the bathroom and into the bedroom with 2 queen size beds and a big TV again.

So much nicer than the tiny cruise ship bedroom!

While walking into the Universal Orlando Resort, they have such a cool miniature golf course.
We wished we had time to play a round!

We LOVED Islands of Adventure.
Every where you looked there was something new to see.
It made walking through the whole park a lot more fun!

The whole reason for coming to Islands of Adventure/Universal Studios.

Every line at the Hogwarts park was so fun to walk through.
All of the decorations and stuff they had throughout the line was amazing!

This was in the line for the Dragon Challenge.
You got to choose which side you wanted to ride, the Hungarian Horntail or the Chinese Fireball.
We loved this ride most!

All the shops and places in Hogsmead were amazing, so legit!

The herbology room on the ride in the castle.

Inside the castle

House Points!

Dumbledore's office

In this you can see the guy walking out of the painting.

All of the pictures talked to you while you were in line.
It made it all so fun to be in line!

The pensive.

Dumbledore talked to us in line as well as Harry, Ron and Hermione.

The fat lady

Sorting Hat

We were told before we went to get the frozen butterbeer in the mugs (even though they are expensive, it was worth it), and then get the regular too.
The frozen one was definitely the best!
So yummy.

We also ate at the Three Broomsticks.
Seriously, words can't even describe how awesome this whole thing was!

We really didn't go on very many rides other than in Hogwarts, only because we didn't have tons of time to be there before we had to come home.
So we walked through all the other parts of Island of Adventure, then the next day we headed to Universal Studios part of the park.

This ride was the best ride at Universal Studios.
You got in a chose your own song to listen to while you rode the ride.
It was so fun, we rode it twice!

The Despicable Me people came out and did a short little parade that was kind of cool.

I was laughing pretty hard at Andy because he didn't realize he had paid to look out the wheel chair view thing instead of the regular one right next to it! Haha!

We got the airport on Saturday the 12th right in time to board our plane.
And that was our honeymoon in a nutshell!
Better late than never right?

Love, B
