Four Months - Hazel

Loves:
-Daddy
-her toes, she just found them a little bit ago
-to pull her binky out then try (usually unsuccessfully) to put it back in.
-make mommy crazy
-reading books with Daddy
-to be held with her back to your stomach so she can see everything
-to move around lots
-to play on her play mats
-toys, specifically rattles, and those chain link things.

Hates:
-how long it takes mommy to get ready to feed her (like less than a minute but ya know...impatient)
-being stuck on her belly
-sitting (usually)

Favorites:
-Daddy
-Bamboo Swaddles
-MAM binky

Milestones:
12/23 - Rolls both ways now
All month - giggles and laughs
Sometime in the month - Found her toes
Starting to reach out for things she wants (like, mommy and daddy)
1/12 - Rice Cereal for the first time!
She thought it was weird at first, but after about the 3rd time having rice cereal she has got it down how to swallow the food and eats very well for only 4 1/2 months old!

Clothes:
0-3M in basically everything but most pants don't fit her cause she is too skinny
6M dresses because they are long enough

Diapers:
Size 1, Luvs have been the mostly used diaper this month, but she has also blown out of them tons this month.. I think that is partially because she holds it in holds it in, then when she eventually does go, it's a lot. Anyway, we got Pampers this time and we'll see if those are better. When we ran out of Pampers we got Huggies the next time around, and honestly we cannot stand them! They are horrible!

Things to remember:
-I love when I'm feeding her, we get a lot of bonding time, and I get to adore all her little quirks. Lately she's been pulling her legs up and playing with her toes while I feed her and it kills me. She always has to hold my finger, binky, shirt or anything while eating. One of the best things though is when she pulls off me and just looks up at me then gives me the biggest smile.
-One of my favorite things is that when I'm burping her, or she's tired, she'll lay her head on my shoulder if I pat her back.
-Andy and I both love to go in after she wakes up. When you look over the side of her crib and she sees you, she gets so excited and happy.
-Hazel is laughing lots more which is the greatest.

Doctor Appointments/Other Info:
On January 8th we took Hazel to her 4 month appointment. They weighed her, took her length and head circumference and then discussed with us that her weight percentile fell off the charts. She wasn't even the 1%. So they had us schedule back 3 weeks later to do a weight check. Her doctor wanted me to try to get my supply us so that I could feed her more so then she'd gain more weight. Talk about STRESSFUL. Which doesn't help your milk supply when you are stressed. So a few days after lots of stress, tears and a horrible time (from both of us), I realized that I cannot force her to eat. Food is here when she wants it. So if she's hungry she'll eat. And she does that! We also started rice cereal and veggies. It's been very successful. At her weight check she had gained another pound. So 2m - 4m she only gained a pound then in 3 weeks she gained another pound. I would call that successful, but who knows! She's now in the 1% so yay! She's so happy, meeting all her milestones, and healthy! I don't care if she's not on the charts...she's perfect!
