The Big 5 Year Old

On September 27th, it was Kendrick's 5th birthday!
I don't know how he turned 5 this fast...I swear it was yesterday he was just born
and I became an Aunt for the first time!
He's the smartest 5 year old I know, and if I do say so myself, one of the cutest too!
I am definitely spoiled to have a nephew like Kendrick!

On his birthday, we had a BBQ at my parents house for his birthday.
He invited a few friends, and then all the cousins on our side and the Wurtz side.
The kids played outside while the adults chatted inside.
Until it started to pour rain that is..

Ryan wasn't very happy until his brother shared one of his new toys.

Leslie made Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes so each kid could decorate their own.
Super cute!

It was a fun night to celebrate the birth of the oldest grandkid on the Morgan side!

Happy Birthday Buddy!

It's a Birthday!

My parents (and I) don't work on Fridays,
so it was nice and convientent that my dad's birthday fell on a Friday this year!
Once a semester, my dad (the Young Men's President), and the bishop
and other youth leaders, take J-Dawgs to the youth that attend Timpview High School.
So Katie decided to surprise my dad by all of us showing up with a cake!
All the youth sang happy birthday to my dad as well.

"Happy Birthday Grandpa!"

(I can't figure out why the cake won't rotate the right way..so sorry!)

While we were at the park with my dad, Chase skyped me!
So he got to wish my dad a happy birthday as well!

The grandkids swinging at the park on Grandpa's birthday!

 ---

The rest of the day, my parents had planned to go up to Salt Lake to go shopping.
And I invited myself..(of course I asked permission first)!
So we went to Gygi's to look around for a bit!
(first time there, and I loved it!)
And then we decided to ride the trax to City Creek.
Also, a first time for me, and my mom!

After shopping, my dad had a make up game for Softball.
So we got to go watch that.
My grandparents and Aunt (whose husband is on the team), came to watch as well.
Then they took us to dinner after for my dad's birthday.

It was a fun day just spending it with my parents!
I think it turned out to be a great birthday for him (at least I hope)!

Happy Birthday!
Love you Dad!

A Slew of iPhone/Regular Pictures

I have tons of pictures of random things we've been doing lately,
but they aren't significant enough to have their own post,
or I didn't take enough pictures for them to have their own blog posts...

1. Timpanogos Storytelling Festival was the weekend of Labor Day.
It always is! My family love going to the storytelling festival.
It's so peaceful to be up in the canyon listening to National Storytellers tell funny stories.

Thursday Night

Kendrick loved the storytellers that got the audience involved,
so Bill Harley was a favorite, as well as John McCutcheon.

Ryan got a really good nap during some of the storytellers!

2. This last weekend, we had the pleasure of watching Anna!
Treesa and Riley had their new baby boy Bradley, and he's in the NICU, so they need babysitters every once in awhile for Anna while they are at the hospital.
We got to watch her last Friday, and Sunday!
She is seriously the cutest, most polite 3 year old I know.
We loved watching her.

Chocolate hands/face!

We bought her a birthday present that had some fake lipstick in it,
this is her putting it on.

We played Wii Bowling, but instead of just doing it normal,
Andy would fly her like an airplane and when the ball hit the pins,
he'd make her drop. She loved it!

Her birthday was on September 10, and they had a party for her that night.
We went over and watched her open presents and then ate cake.
She LOVES princesses so of course it was a princess party!

3. Belle has been sick the last little while..
Well not really sick, but more allergies.
Which is ironic, because I think I'm allergic to dogs.
So both Belle and me are sneezing constantly!
Bleh.

4. Every other year, or so, we as a family (my mom's side), get together to cut meat.
We raise our own cattle, and then cut and package the meat.
It's a fun couple of weeks doing it all morning on Saturdays.
This year was Andy's first time and as gross as it may look or seem,
it's a lot of fun and Andy did great!

5. Yesterday, I got a call from crmorgan10@hotmail.com requesting to facetime!
I got so excited.
It was so fun talking to chase and seeing his face even if it was only for a minute or two!
He called at midnight in Spain which was about 4:30 our time.
He was in a little cafe so it was hard for him to hear me.
But still so fun to see him!

Well that's about it for now, happy iPhone dumping!
