38 Weeks

^^ Best (soon to be) Cousin Friends ^^
38 Weeks || 27 Weeks

How far along? 38 Weeks 6 Days

Weight gain? Back up a pound since I lost one last week

Measuring at? 36-37cm....which is smaller than I should be...but then she felt my stomach and said the baby felt like about 6-7lbs. (how they guess that is beyond me...so I'm taking that with a grain of salt). She checked dilation and I'm still not dilated at all.

Labor signs? I feel like I've had some contractions but definitely nothing consistent or super strong yet.

Gender guess from mom and dad? Mom guesses Boy still unless she goes into labor on the 5th then she might second guessing and thinking it's a Girl! Dad guesses this week

Sleep? Rough, if my heartburn isn't bad I sleep okay, but still wake up to pee frequently!

Showing? Definitely

Best moment this week? Emily and I went and got Mani/Pedi's last saturday which was very nice and needed. Then Andy and I went with his parents on Thursday night to celebrate him graduating!

Looking forward to? This baby coming OUT!

Miss anything? My baby-less body, no heartburn, being able to walk without wanting to die...

Cravings? Anything I can't have right now. So basically anything that gives me heartburn right now..

Happy or Moody? Mooooody. I am so uncomfortable and so so tired of being pregnant. I am frequently irritable right now as well. I'm just pretty unpleasant in general.

Baby movement? Tons, though I was worried earlier this week (Mon) that baby wasn't moving at all and I could not for the life of me remember the last time baby moved so I got worried but then baby moved and everything felt fine.

Feeling prepared? Same as before, things are more packed for the hospital but still don't have much for me. Need to do that soon...

Anything else to report? I asked my doctor about inducing me around the 8th of September (after my due date but not fully 41 weeks), and she said that she probably won't until my Bishops Number is a 10 (a bunch of different measurements put together that equal the Bishops Number), which is usually being dilated to a 3..I doubt that'll happen so unless this baby miraculously comes fast like all my siblings did then I'll probably be induced the 12th or something haha! My mom never dilated but would have tons of contractions and the baby would come soon after, so we don't know if maybe that's how I'm going to be...time will tell. I'm getting very impatient though..
Heartburn: My Grandma gave me Papaya Enzymes that work gloriously! I've also decided this last week that I'm pretty sure heartburn medications are the cause of my heartburn (or at least they definitely don't make it feel better). These Papaya Enzymes are chewable tablets that you take 3-4 right after a meal (or when you are feeling heartburn), and it immediately relieves the symptoms of heartburn! These are seriously the only things that have helped so far, so hopefully they continue working and get me through a few more weeks! (I wrote this before, but on Tuesday I believe, my esophagus felt like a hole was being burnt through it from the acid in my throat and absolutely nothing that normally works would help, so I finally took a Halls Throat Soother that numbed my throat and made it feel better...so that was bad. I was worried that it was from the Papaya's so I haven't taken many the remainder of the week..)

37 Weeks

FULL TERM!!!

How far along? 37 Weeks 6 Days

Weight gain? Lost a pound again, my doctor said if I keep losing then she'll need to give me the protein shake lecture haha!

Measuring at? Basically on time still. She didn't check me at this appointment (dilation), just measured me (37cm), and listened to the heartbeat. To which she said, "well sounds like baby is content being in there right now..."

Labor signs? Not really, I may have had a few contractions here and there but nothing consistent yet. I do feel like the baby is dropping. Every once in a while I'll get a pain around my pelvis that feels like "an electric shock" almost but not horrible.

Gender guess from mom and dad? Mom still has a feeling it's a BOY and Dad thinks (flipped a coin) GIRL (haha)...

Sleep? Non existent for the most part...my heartburn prevents me from getting any sleep.

Showing? Definitely.

Best moment this week? Honestly not much.

Looking forward to? Meeting this babe! It's been really tough on me to not have even the slightest clue on when this baby will be born. I'm anxious to know how things will be after this baby comes. I'm so used to being an "aunt" that I have zero idea what it's like to be the mom.

Miss anything? Being able to eat what I want without worrying/debating if the heartburn is worth it or not.

Cravings? I've been thinking a lot about what I want to eat after this baby is out and hopefully (fingers crossed) this heartburn is gone and Little Caesars is one of those things! I miss pizza and I happen to love LC! Basically, I am craving anything that gives me heartburn (because I can't have it now).

Happy or Moody? Very moody. I may be a tad depressed. This week was so overwhelmingly tough on me. I'm so tired but want to get things done but can't bring myself to get out of bed.

Baby movement? All the time...my ribs are taking a good beating

Feeling prepared? Still about the same as last week. I have majority of what I need for the baby, but pretty much nothing for me.

Anything else to report? I was very confused about my appointment, I'm not sure why she didn't check me or even ask if I was having contractions. It was a rough day today to say the least and my appointment didn't help much to make my day less bad. Hopefully next week will be a better appointment!
Heartburn: as of right now, I am taking heartburn medication in the morning, (Zantac is the only thing that has seemed to somewhat work...I even tried Omeprazole which is one of the best usually), followed by eating breakfast, followed by a Tums, by lunch I am feeling a little better but eat again and have to take more Tums, then around dinner time I take my evening heartburn medication and have dinner. Right about the time that we are going to bed (9-10), my heartburn flares up again. I sometimes sip some milk and suck on a Tums which will usually help me to fall asleep. Then repeat the next day....

Baby Showers

Baby showers were one of those things that
I was constantly thinking about and wondering how in the heck I'd do them during the first part of my pregnancy.
Once I decided that I wanted them to all be before baby comes, things weren't as confusing to me.
I, of course, got the, "what do I even give you then?" type questions.
But honestly after the showers are all over, I wouldn't do it differently!
I loved it!
I got so many diapers, wipes, so many useful things, books, as well as a few outfits!
Naturally, after the showers I still don't feel "ready" for baby to come, but I definitely feel better than I did before the showers!

I truly cannot thank everyone enough for all the love and support we have received.
Thank you especially to my Aunts for throwing my first shower that was for family; my best friend/cousin Em for throwing me my main shower with friends; and my mother in law & sisters in law that threw the shower for our ward!
All three showers turned out fantastic and I couldn't be happier with them all.

Baby M and I (and Andy), are feeling so spoiled by all the people that have given us gifts, or have just shown their support in general!
This is a crazy new adventure for us and we truly could not do it without all those people!

Stallings/Morgan Family Shower
Hosted by: Terri, Evelyn, Kaye & Katherine
At: Terri's House
July 16, 2015 6:30pm Open House
We had a dinner with salads, rolls, and yummy ice cream.
It was a basics shower.
Everyone chose what they thought the gender would be by
picking a blue or pink plate to eat on.
We had a great turn out and it was fun to see some cousins I hadn't for a long time!

Main Shower
Hosted by: Emily
At: My House
August 1, 2015 10:00am-12:00pm Open House
We had a brunch with breakfast casserole, cinnamon rolls, fruit and muffins.
It was Black, White and Gold.
We had people make guesses based off of a few Old Wives Tales of the gender.
It turned out so cute and perfect and it was fun for people to be able to
come over and see my new house!

*There was these questionares that were super cute, you put your guess if it was a boy or girl, a name suggestion, when you thought baby would come (date/time), baby's weight/height, something you hope baby gets from mom and hopes to get from dad.
It was so fun to read all the answers everyone put down!*
