Since you won't...I will! :)

Since some people NEVER update their blog!
I will for them ;)

Phill and Leslie a couple days ago found out the gender of their new baby due in November.
They went to their ultrasound, and the tech put the gender in an envelope.
Leslie took that envelope to Partyland and had them fill a box full of balloons for the gender inside.
We all met at my parents and watched their cute little family open the box.
Look at the picture below to find out the gender....
(if you don't already know!)

It's a.........

Girl!

How fun!
That girl is going to have some pretty great big brothers!

Congrats Phill and Leslie!
We love you!

Sno Cone Challenge

So at the beginning of the summer,
the Hubs and I decided to have a

Summer Challenge

of hitting all the different
Sno Shacks around the Orem/Provo area!
We will take a picture of each one and post it here as we go!
So check back often!
We will give our opinions of each one, the location of each one, and the pricing of each one.
Then I challenge you to go visit them all too!

(Don't take our opinions to say that you shouldn't try them!)

I mean, who doesn't love snowies?!

#1-Hokulia Shave Ice Co.

Location:
1445 N. Canyon Road
Provo, UT

Prices:
(if you go before I update this,
let me know the price!)

Likes:
*crickets*
No in all seriousness, we weren't that impressed.
I think the only thing I liked was that they accepted checks..since we didn't have cash!
(which i'm sure most of them do!)

Dislikes:
-the cups, we are just not big fans of the flower cups
-the quantity, we definitely recommend sharing (even a small!)
bigger is not always better..
-"snow capped", makes your snowie melt in seconds. not worth it!
-too crowded, why does everyone like it anyway?
-way too many flavors to choose from
(I'm very indecisive)
-funky flavors, I mean Wedding Cake? Sounds gross.

Anyway, you won't be seeing the McDonald's at Hokulia's anytime soon!

#2-Summer Sno

Location:
703 South 400 East
Orem, UT

Prices:
(if you go before I update this,
let me know the price!)
Likes:
-the cups.
Styrofoam Regular Cups.
(yeah the flower ones are cute and whatnot. but seriously
so hard to eat out of without having it all over your pants!)
-the flavors, they kind of have a lot as well,
but the main ones that are the best are their own special flavors.
-the quantity, a small is a small, and a medium is a medium. (how simple!)
-perfect ratio, flavoring to shaved ice

Dislikes:
-can be crowded, depends on when you go
-pricing, goes up each year..

Summer Sno is by far our favorite right now!
But we are still keeping an open mind about them all.

#3-Lani's Hawaiian Style Shave Ice

Location:
1767 S. State St.
Orem, UT

Prices:
(if you go before I update this,
let me know the price!)

Likes:
-literally no one there ever, at least that what it seems like!
-the quantity, even though it was in flower cups, we didn't feel like it was a mess.

Dislikes:
-notsoperfect ratio, too much flavoring
-unique flavors, but not horrible
-the flavors, not very many normal flavors
-flower cups...nuff said.

All in all, Lani's isn't horrible, but it's definitely not the best.
We felt like there were a lot of weird flavors and
not very many normal ones to be "safe" with.

#4- The Barn

Location:
444 East 3630 North
Provo, UT
(Parking Lot of the
Timpview Car Wash)

Prices:
Kiddie - $1.00
Small - $2.00
Medium - $3.00
Large - $4.00
..Add-On..
Ice Cream $1.00
Topper $0.50
(sweetened condensed milk, half/half, heavy whipping cream)

Likes:
-the theme its a barn..hay bails...etc. It's fun!
-prices, probably the cheepest we've seen so far
-the tables, they put holes in the table so you can put your snowie in there!
-the location, it's a good hang out spot, not too busy,
plus there is grass as well.
-the flavors, lots of different flavors, but seriously
CINNAMON/ROOTBEER. Favorite!

Dislikes:
-the flower cups, BUT they weren't as bad
when you have a hole in the table to put it in.
-it's new, so they are still getting the hang of everything

We were really big fans of the Barn!
I LOVE Cinnamon/Rootbeer but no one has Cinnamon.
Ya, it's an oxymoron (cinnamon on shaved ice), but it's delicious!
I'll admit, we went twice in one day!
It's that good!

Camping Bust.

Andy and I wanted to go camping really bad last weekend.
(6/15-6/16)
We asked a few people if they wanted to go with us,
but due to it being pretty short notice, no one could.

A few years ago, Andy went to this place to camp with some friends that was up American Fork Canyon.
So that's where we were headed.
We knew in advance that we had to have a 4-wheel drive truck to get up there,
so we borrowed my parents truck.
We had to wait for Vince and Katie to be done using it, so we didn't get to head up until about 6:30-7:00pm.
Emily and her boyfriend John, decided they'd follow us up and eat dinner and roast mallows with us,
then just come back that night.
By the time we got up there close, the road was pretty bumpy,
Belle was anxious and John's car wasn't the best for the terrain.
So we all turned around and headed back home to just have a fire in the backyard.

Pictures from the drive up/back!
Utah is GORGEOUS!

I always take the funniest pictures of Belle! Haha!
But you can see Emily and John following us in the backround.

I didn't get any pictures of the backyard, but we set up the firepit in Andy's parents backyard.
Then we pitched the tent as well!
We roasted some mallows, some Starburst, and Andy cooked a couple TV dinners.
When we were ready for bed, Emily and John left and we got in the tent and went to bed.
It was a lot of fun to sleep in the backyard!
We got up in the morning and cooked breakfast inside, then got all showered and cleaned up.

I really wanted to go hiking so we decided that we'd get cleaned up a little and head up Provo Canyon.
We took Belle again, because Andy knew a hike that was perfect for her.

This isn't where we went, we went about 1/2 mile north of Bridal Veil Falls.
The Upper Falls.

Belle would run up in front of us, then stop and see if we were still coming.

When we got to the water, she just ran and got in.
She was soo happy!

By the end, when we were driving home,
Belle was so tired she laid in the backseat the whole drive home!

Such a fun day, even though Camping was a bust...
we'll just have to try again some other time!!

Dear Bailey,

1 year.... 4 months.... and 13 days ago my life changed forever. God has been patiently waiting my whole life to finally let us cross paths. You amazed me in every single way, and I never have felt those kinds of feelings before until I met you. I knew that it was right. I never imagined how much I needed you at that exact moment in my life, and that you needed me as well. I am eternally grateful for God and everything he has done for me, especially letting me meet a you... You get more beautiful every day I'm with you. You pick me up when I am down. You let me know that I'm your 1 true love, and that's enough for me to be the happiest boy in the whole wide world. I love you!

Over the past year I purchased a app on my phone that saves every single text message we have ever sent to each other and sends it to my email. I have been collecting these messages for the past year now, and they are just too many to count. Some are funny, some are a little sad, but most of them are full of love and gratitude towards each other. I have created a small compilation of some of these texts between me and you, that I feel describes how much our love runs deep for each other. Others will find this cute, but as you read this you will feel those feelings we had when we first sent them. That happened to me and it's an amazing feeling, almost like I'm falling in love with you all over again. Well....Here you go:)

It's only been just 6 weeks now about, but it has been the happiest 6 weeks of my life. I can't wait to spend the next 6 months, 6 years, 6 decades, and all eternity with you. I love you bootz.

Love you one and only main man:)

Let's get fit!

I guess you can say, "Thanks to Pinterest",
I have been getting fit!
*Shocked look*
(Now be happy for me!)
YAY!

I am the worst when it comes to exercise.
I get in these kicks every once in a while, but they always disappear relatively fast...
While I was on Pinterest, I saw this "Couch to 5K Running" sheet.
My first thoughts,
I can totally do that!

So there we go, I started 3 days later.
I did Day 1 by myself, then I convince Emily to join.
We were very consistant at the beginning, but then on Week 2 Day 1 instead of what it says, we walked 4 miles...
So we called that day good!
The Week 2 Day 3, I went on that hike with Andy and Emily was busy,
so we didn't worry about it!

Week 2 Day 5...
It is definitely a lot harder to jump ahead 2 minutes of jogging.
So if you decide to start this program, I recommend sticking to the days and doing what it says.
Usually after I exercise, I'm way sore the next day.
But I haven't felt that way with this one which is so nice.
Not saying I don't feel like I'm going to die while doing it, but the next day I feel like I can do it all again!
So nice!

5K here I come!

All you running fiatics out there are probably laughing, but shut up!
This is a huge accomplishment for me!!

As well as doing this Couch to 5K thing, Andy and I have been walking from our apartment to Andy's parents on Sundays.
It's 2.2 miles one way.
It's a pretty long, but nice walk.
One of the times we did it, we saw this in one of the tunnels we walked through!

Well, happy exercising!
I totally recommend this Couch to 5K thing!
It's great!

The Send Off.. May 5, 2012

Our lovely bridesmaids and groomsmen, decorated our car.
I only say lovely because I am so thankful that they didn't do anything raunchy!
I hate when there are dumb things written all over the car!
But they made sure to make it very plain and simple!
Thanks guys!

Product placement?
Haha, look at how perfectly I am holding my Cold Stone cup!
So funny!

Also, I better thank my father in law, Kelly for taking our car after we left for the honeymoon, to clean it!

It was way fun to leave through all the sparklers with everyone cheering!

Tradition? May 5, 2012

I wanted to do the tradition of...
Something Old
Something New
Something Borrowed
Something Blue

So during the days leading up to my wedding, I tried to come up with different things, but then got caught up in other plans, and never really got around to it. Until my mom came up with a great idea. I was born in March, as well as my Grandma Barbara who passed away 23 years ago.
My mom said that my Grandma had a necklace with the March birthstone on it, which is an Aquamarine.
BLUE!

So there we had it....
Something Old
Something Borrowed
Something Blue
All in one item!
How perfect is that?

And as for
Something New?
Well my wedding ring counts for that!
Duh.
