One Month - Hazel

Hazel has truly been a dream baby! 

There are times where she will cry and we can't quite figure out why, but those times are rare. 

We really lucked out with a baby that sleeps great, eats great, and is pretty dang cute.

Loves:

-When Daddy sings his crazy songs.

-Her mobile while getting her diaper changed. (her changing table is on her crib)

-To smile.

-To look around.

-Pooping seconds after we put a clean diaper on..

-Laying on her side (doesn't matter which side).

-To snuggle.

-Being in the bath, but not being out of the bath and cold.

Hates:

-Being hot.

-Not being fed right when she's hungry.

-Laying on her back.

-When we put lotion on her (I think cause it's cold for a minute).

-When she was a couple weeks, she hated "change". We'd move her and she'd fuss for a second until she realized she wasn't being moved anymore.

Favorites:

-Dad, unless she is hungry.

-Being sung to.

-The 0-3M MAM binky not the NB size.

Milestones:

-Smiling all the time. (Since birth)

-First bath (5 days)

-Belly laughs. (2 weeks)

-First road trip to St. George. (3-4 weeks)

-First time swimming (3-4 weeks)

-Successfully fed without the nipple shield. (3 1/2 weeks)

Clothes:

-NB size for everything,

She is too long for her NB footie jammies though. (3 weeks)

Diapers:

-NB - for some reason NB > 1 is a HUGE change.

She's a little tight in the NB but they aren't so bad that I feel we need to change yet.

Things to remember:

-When she cries in the car (usually from being hungry), she makes herself so hot and because she hates being hot it makes her cry more.

-Unless she is hungry, she is a great baby in the car.

-She sleeps great. The doctor wanted me to not let her sleep longer than 3 hours at night because of her "jaundice" at birth but once that was cleared I let her wake me and we are both much happier and she only wakes a couple times each night.

-She will give you the biggest open mouth smile when she's awake.

-Most people say she looks just like Andy, but some say she looks like me. She's a good mix of the two of us.

-We love that we can already sort of see her personality coming out. I have a feeling she's going to be just like her daddy.

-She's still sleeping in her bassinet in our room.

2 week appointment w/ Dr. Alba - Weight: 7lbs 6oz 17% Length: 20.75in 64% Head: 34.3cm 14%

At her appointment, we figured out that she had a minor (early stage) yeast infection thanks to the antibiotic I was taking...Luckily, it went away about a week after her appointment using A&D ointment.
