Around last May, Lucy told us that she was running the St. George marathon and would love it if anyone wanted to come and support her.
We were completely on board and it ended up being that the whole family could come too!
Andy and I were way excited because we knew we'd have a one month old baby by then.
So flash forward to October and we headed to St. George.
Andy and I got down late Wednesday night and got to Grandpa & Carol before they left the next morning.
Thursday we spent the day shopping (at Target of course), and hanging out with Vince & Katie who had also come up to St. George Wednesday night.
It was great because they could get one on one time with Hazel since they hadn't officially met her yet.
It was so fun to see them fight over who got to hold Hazel, and just love her so much.
Thursday night is when my parents, Chase & Lucy all got down.
Friday afternoon Phill & Leslie and the kids finally made it!
Lucy had requested that we have a spaghetti meal since it was the night before her race.
We all had dinner over at Alborada and it was fantastic.
Grandma & Grandpa Morgan were down so they got to join us as well.
Saturday was race day!
Lucy had to be up at 4am to catch the shuttle.
Around 8:30am we all headed over to Snow Canyon to catch her as she passed that area at mile 16.
It was fun to see her!
She was so happy and was doing great.
After we saw her and she continued on her way, we all loaded back up in the cars and headed to the finish line.
She made GREAT time and it was so fun and emotional to see her cross the finish line.
She had worked and trained so hard for this.
Chase & Lucy's friend ran the race as well!
Lucy does this awesome thing where she write down each mile on her arm and someone at that mile.
So while she is running that mile she will think about whoever is written in that area.
It's such an awesome way to make the time pass by.
We really could not be more proud of Lucy!
Serious sister pride for her!
She accomplished something that she worked so hard for.
And it was amazing to be there to support and cheer her on!
The rest of saturday was spent relaxing and listening to conference.
While the boys went to priesthood, the girls went swimming.
Sunday we listened to conference while we had WaffleLuv waffles!
Between sessions we all went swimming again, then Andy and I loaded up and headed home.
Hazel was a rockstar during both car rides.
We stopped in Beaver both times and then about 30 minutes outside of each destination (Santaquin & Toquerville).
She really is a dream baby and we got so lucky!
The only downfall of the weekend was that it felt short! Not enough time to do all we wanted
but that just means that we will have to do another trip soon!
