Vernal Utah Temple

Yesterday, my cousin went through the temple for her first time 

before she leaves on a mission on the 24th of September.

I'm so impressed by Kaitlin's testimony of the gospel when it would 

probably be easier for her to not have one.

There was no way I would pass up going through the Vernal Temple, 

so we tagged along with my parents and grandparents and headed to Vernal, UT.

It's been about 4 years since I've been there last, and about 15 for Andy (if not longer)!

So it was fun to do that together again.

The temple was gorgeous inside and out.

It used to be an old tabernacle that was changed into a temple just 

like the Provo City Center Temple is going to be.

I was just in awe the whole time being there.

I LOVE seeing new temples.

The temple is such an amazing place for peace in this crazy world.

Exciting, but scary news! (Part 2 || Update)

Well it's official,

we sold our house.

Faster than I think we both thought it would happen.

We are excited for what is to come, but nervous since there isn't anything set in place at the moment.

The house we were looking into, (and needing to sell our house quickly for), was a bit overpriced for the work that needed to be put into it for us to feel like we could live in it.

They had "upgraded" the kitchen and master bathroom.

But we felt like the upgrade was more a downgrade for us.

In the master bath, they took out the only bath tub in the whole house and put in a walk-in shower.

We would need a bathtub if we moved in which would be a fairly large remodel.

The roof would also need to be completely replaced since they have about 4 layers of shingles on top.

Plus, we would need to replace a couple of windows to save on energy.

I love the location, SO MUCH.

But it's not enough for me at the moment to spend the money they were asking on a house 

that may cost us a bit down the road.

So for now, we are still looking/waiting for another house in that area to open up.

We are hoping and praying that that will happen in the near future.

We keep hearing rumors of houses going up for sale which is super exciting, but also scary that they may or may not be in our price range.

So at the moment, we are in waiting game.

Which means that we'll be moving into Andy's parents basement for the time being.

Since like I stated above, we sold our house.

We have to be out by September 30th.

This month is already a pretty crazy month, so why not throw in moving out to the list!

Once again, we are asking for people to keep us in their prayers that 

we can find a new home to live in...in the near future!

Thank you to everyone who spread the word of our house selling, and to everyone for the support through this crazy time in our lives. 

We are excited to be back in Provo,

and hopefully we can stay there for quite a long time.

Spanish Fork, you have been good to us!

We will miss our amazing neighbors and friends we have made since moving in!

Cole's 1st Birthday

Cole turned 1 on August 20th!

On the 23rd, Katie threw a party for him.

It was a just a small little party with family.

It was a ball/brunch theme. 

Everything turned out amazing!

"Cake" Smashing Series:

Since it was a brunch, Katie made his cake to be a few pancakes stacked on top of each other.

Cole loved it! It was perfect for Cole!

The food was delicious!

Katie made an egg casserole, as well as a french toast type casserole.

Cole was a little unimpressed with the presents, but he got some great things!

We love Cole!
