Memorial Day Weekend

We love Memorial Day Weekend
such a fun time to get together with friends and family.

Every year we go and visit Andy's older brother Matthew at East Lawn Cemetery in Provo on Sunday.
This year we weren't very smart and we planned a friends BBQ at our house on the same sunday, which meant we didn't get to go with the whole family.
But we are very grateful that Kelly and Beverly wanted to make a quick visit up there with us.
While at East Lawn we also visit Travis Brinkerhoff, one of Andy's really good friends.

After the cemetery on Sunday, we headed back home to finish getting ready for our BBQ.
We had a great time with everyone and we can't wait to do another BBQ soon!
Thank you guys for coming!

Monday morning, we meet up in Salt Lake at my Grandpa Stallings' house.
We start out by helping him in the yard, then eating some breakfast.
After that, we head to the Wasatch Lawn Cemetery, to visit my Grandma.
Lots of people from my Stallings' side comes and we gather around my Grandma Barbara's headstone.
My grandpa will always tell us stories, or give us a "lecture" that we all love to hear!
We cut the grass around the grave, we washed the top off, and place flowers.
It's one of my favorite traditions.

Everyone that came this year.

We did a reenactment of an old old picture of us with Grandpa.

Andy took the boys around to look for their birthdays on the graves.

Hope you all had a great memorial weekend as well! Can't wait for next year, but for now...
Let summer begin!

Just for Fun

Here is a funny, yet slightly embarrassing video of Andy and I while we were dating.
Thank you Heather for capturing us at our prime.

And a fun film strip, just for fun!
I love this husband of mine!

Mother's Day

Mother's Day was a very laid back day, we had been in St. George for a friends wedding.
We drove home with my parents on Sunday and then headed straight to Andy's parents for dinner.
I felt so lucky that I got to be with my mom for a little bit this year on Mother's Day, even if it was only on a 4 hour car ride.
I love my mom so much, she's really the best.
I look up to her so much.
She's the person I always want to be like when I grow up.
She's so brave, and isn't afraid to stand up for what she wants/believes in.
She's a strong and beautiful woman, on the inside and out.
People tell me all the time that I look and sound just like her, and to me, that's the best compliment I could ever recieve.
I mean, look at her!
THE.PRETTIEST.

Thanks for putting up with me mom!
I love you so much!
Love, B

1st Anniversary

Our 1 year anniversary was last friday, and we had a very nice relaxing weekend!
We decided that Andy is in charge of Odd years and I am in charge of Even years.
So for the first year, Andy got to pick what we did (with the help of me).
Neither one of us love surprises, we'd rather plan stuff together!

We decided to head up to Park City for the weekend, to have a quick getaway.
On our way up, we stopped at Midway Country Corner to pick up our Complimentary Anniversary Top.
Which might I add, is the best thing ever!
At our reception, we only had ice cream and cake, so I didn't want to not let my guests eat the top.
We had maybe 1/3 of the top of the cake left over from our wedding (SOO nice!).
I didn't have to freeze a cake and wait for a year to eat it...gross.
We were so happy to have a fresh yummy cake to celebrate with!
Thanks Susan Fox!

Us trying to take pictures of us feeding each other.
Let's just say, there were a few outtakes! HA.

Like I said...Outtakes!
Enjoy haha!

Happy Anniversary Andy!

Sadly, this is the only picture we got outside of us doing the cake.
We walked down main street saturday morning before breakfast.
It was a little chilly, but so beautiful!
Everything in Park City is closed right now (fun things) because its inbetween seasons, so we are going to head back up later in the month to do some fun stuff like the Olympic Park!

We had a great anniversary! Very nice to get away for a bit!

Thanks to Emily for watching our bunny while we were gone!
And thanks to the McDonald's for watching Belle while we were gone too!

Can't wait to plan something for next year!!

First

I was looking through old pictures and reminscing about our relationship,
so I thought I'd share all of our firsts! In honor of our First Anniversary!

first time I documented my "stalking" of Andy...
(isn't he the cutest?!)
2006

first "hang out":
February 15, 2011
Yes, first hang out and first kiss, same night.
Oh and don't think I didn't have wicked butterflies living in my stomach!
first kiss:
February 15, 2011
For very good reasons, I don't have a picture of this one, but I can tell you all about it ;)
Andy came over for the first time, we had never hung out before in our lives.
I had always had my eye on him obviously, but until this day, I was always, "Chase's little sister".
Heather and I were watching Lord of the Rings.
When the movie had ended, we started kissing.
Yup, we were both pretty quick like that. Ha!

first date:
 March 2, 2011
Andy picked me up to go on our first date at Ventana.
We went to a BYU Basketball game,
*we only stayed for half of the game, Andy gave me a piggy back ride all the way from the Marriott Center to our car which was a mile away at least (picture taken while on his back), and as we got to the car I couldn't find my phone anywhere. So we drove back to the Marriott Center and Andy searched around our seats. After calling Heather 10+ times we finally got a hold of her and she said it was at the apartment. I was so thankful to Andy for not thinking I was a total crazy!*,
then to Jimmy Johns to get sandwiches.
And ate our sandiwches in the parking lot of the Provo Temple.
Though it was NOT our first time being together, it was special.

first birthdays together:
March of 2011
For our first birthdays together, we went on a date to Pizzeria 712,
where we were both nervous and didn't understand the menu.
We ordered something random, and it came out with onions on it (which I hate),
but I proceeded to eat them not wanting him to think I was dumb for picking them off.
On his birthday, I decorated his whole room with balloons and candy while he was at church.

first time she knew:
We had gone out by the lake to go for a run together, and when we arrived back at my apartment,
we sat in the parking lot and that's when I knew we could do this for forever.
And I told him that right then!
(I know, I know, it took me forever! Sorry babe!)

first time he knew:
I could probably guess when he first knew, and I would say from the beginning.
But I asked him just in case ;)
"Within a month after we started seeing each other!"
Awe, melt my heart!

first pets:
Our first pets we ever got together were the fish!
Shockingly, we still have them!

first time going through the temple:
April 4, 2012
For our very first time, we went through the Provo Utah Temple.

Three days later, we headed south to take our engagements and
had the chance to go through my favorite temple for our first time!
first house:
March 5, 2013
